Nextcode Exhibits with LogicaCMG at CTIA
Wireless Spring 2005
Nextcode Demonstrates Technology
on the LogicaCMG Stand at CTIA Convention
New Orleans, LA-CTIA Wireless 2005 – March
14, 2005 – Nextcode Corporation, a leader
in optical barcode solutions for mobile devices,
today announced that they will participate alongside
LogicaCMG, a leading global solutions and IT service
provider, during the CTIA Wireless 2005 Convention
and Exposition. Nextcode was asked to join the
LogicaCMG stand, located at booth number 2855
of the convention, in order to demonstrate Nextcode
scanning technology integrated with the LogicaCMG
Music Delivery Platform.
Nextcode provides barcode reading software and
technology that dramatically enhances the usability
of mobile phones to access mobile content, commerce
and services. With Nextcode’s technology,
a camera phone acts as a scanner and decoder of
any two- dimensional code format published in
marketing and advertising materials, or even on
the computer screen. The Nextcode technology allows
instant retrieval of all kinds of information
including contact details on a business card,
a contest entry, a ringtone or other mobile content.
The Nextcode team has extensive experience developing
barcode scanning software for both standard retail
and industrial barcode formats. Nextcode has spent
the past four years working with camera phone-based
scanning solutions and designed their own proprietary
code format called mCode™. The mCode was
developed to meet the unique technical and business
requirements of camera phones and mobile services.
The mCode format includes an array of benefits
for use in mobile applications not found with
other 2-D code formats.
“The fact that LogicaCMG asked us to join
their booth at CTIA is flattering,” Jim
Levinger, CEO of Nextcode said. “We are
pleased to demonstrate code scanning services
that leverage LogicaCMG technology for messaging
and content delivery.”
